Delete Your Account

Delete your account from the app (recommended)

Open the app and go to Profile, then tap "Delete my account" (or "DELETE MY ACCOUNT"), type the word "delete" when asked, and submit. This works the same way in the DukanWale customer app, the DukanWale Seller app, and the DukanWale Delivery Partner app.

This takes effect immediately, unless you currently have an order, booking, or delivery still in progress — in that case, finish or cancel it first, then delete your account.

No email, no waiting, no app reinstall needed.

Don't have the app installed, or can't access it?

Email legal@dukanwale.store from your registered email address or registered mobile number, asking to delete your DukanWale account. Include the phone number your account is registered under. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your name, phone number, profile photo, and UPI ID are permanently removed and replaced with anonymised placeholders. Your account can no longer be logged into — your phone number is immediately free to sign up again as a new account if you want to.

If you're a seller, your shop is closed and no longer visible to customers. If you're a delivery partner, you stop being shown as available for new deliveries.

What we keep, and why

Order and transaction records are kept for 7 years, and identity documents (Aadhaar, licence scans, if you were a seller or delivery partner) for 3 years — anonymised, no longer linked to your name or phone number — for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes required under Indian law. Log data is kept for up to 12 months. This matches how any regulated marketplace handles transaction history; it's the same reason your bank keeps a record of a closed account's past transactions.

We do not keep anything beyond what we're legally required to. Full details: Privacy Policy, section 5 (Data Retention).

Deleting only some of your data, without deleting your account

You can clear your notification history at any time from within the app, without deleting your account — this removes it immediately.

For any other specific data (for example, a saved address, or a document you uploaded), contact legal@dukanwale.store and we will handle the request individually.
